Symptoms |

When you attempt to install Bartender's Companion, the following error occurs:

Error 1904.module c:\program files\bartender's companion\radium.ocx failed to register HResult. Contact your support
personnel. |

If you attempt to run Bartender's Companion, you will get the following error:
|
| |
| |
Application terminated. Error: Error calling
external object function enablebutton at line 34 in function
of _enabletoolbarbutton of object nfc_u_tabpg_task_calendar. |

Cause |
| |
Radium.ocx is a resource file that contains the Bartender's Companion
toolbar controls. This toolbar uses a dropdown date picker control
that is found in another resource file - mscal.ocx.
mscal.ocx is part of the Windows operating system. If this file
is missing, damaged, or incorrectly registered, radium.ocx will
not install. Without radium.ocx installed and registered, Bartender's Companion
cannot display any toolbars.

Download the following file: ocx.zip. |
| 2. |
Unzip ocx.zip to your desktop. If you don't have an unzip
utility, you can download a free evaluation version from winzip.com. |

The ocx.zip file contains three ocx files. Copy them to the
following directory:
C:\Windows\System (if you are running
Windows 95/98/Me/XP Home Edition)
C:\WINNT\System32 (if you are running
Windows NT/2000/XP Professional)

Now that the ocx files are in the correct locations, you
will need to register them with the operating system. Click
Start->Run and paste each of the following commands
(one at a time) into the Open box and click OK:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system\mscomctl.ocx
regsvr32 c:\windows\system\mscomct2.ocx
regsvr32 c:\windows\system\mscal.ocx (Windows
95/98/Me/XP Home Edition)
-or-
regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\mscomctl.ocx
regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\mscomct2.ocx
regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\mscal.ocx (Windows
NT/2000/XP Professional)

Download the following file: radium.zip. |

Unzip radium.zip to your desktop. |
| 7. |
The radium.zip file contains a new copy of radium.ocx. Copy
the file to the Bartender's Companion program directory:
c:\program files\radium technologies\bartender's companion.

Now that all of the prerequisite files are in place, we can
register radium.ocx. Click Start->Run and paste
the following command into the Open box and click OK:
regsvr32 "c:\program files\radium technologies\bartender's companion\radium.ocx"

Reinstall Bartender's Companion. |
